BATHROOM REMODELING

Mairarê Reserva Raposo Condominium – São Paulo, Brazil

This project involved the remodeling of two bathrooms and one powder room for a mother and daughter moving into their new apartment. I had previously worked with this couple, providing some interior design interventions in their former family home. After their separation, the ex-wife reached out to invite me to propose a new design for the three bathrooms of her new residence.

The bathrooms were still in their original condition as delivered by the construction company, which offered the opportunity for a complete redesign. The result is a clean and modern approach, featuring neutral colors and material textures, which create a soft contrast against the brightness of the white quartz countertops and built-in niches.

One of the key elements that brought life to this new composition was the lighting design, carefully planned to enhance the overall aesthetics and atmosphere of the spaces, making the bathrooms feel more welcoming and elegant.

As for the powder room, located near the apartment’s entrance, the client wanted to maintain some of the elements left by the previous owner, such as the countertop sink and the shelf beneath it. Here, the intervention was subtle yet effective: the introduction of wallpaper, pendant lights, and an illuminated mirror was enough to create a refreshed identity for this small but important space, setting the tone for the experience of both residents and guests upon arrival.
